The Earth’s climate has changed throughout history. Just in the last 650,000 years, there have been seven cycles of glacial advance and retreat, with the abrupt end of the last ice age about 7,000 years ago marking the beginning of the modern climate era — and of human civilization. Most of these climate changes are attributed to very small variations in Earth’s orbit that can change the amount of solar energy our planet receives.
This project began with the creation of a large-scale, ‘four-dimensional’ infographic based on climate change and how it affects the continent of Antarctica.
Dimensions
- Time
- Sea Levels
- CO2 percentage in Earth’s Atmosphere
- amount of ice melting from the antarctic Ice Shelf
I followed up this design with a series of advertising devices including a magazine advertisement, pop-up ads, and a mock social media page.
